Surface-enhanced Raman spectra of natural tissue and cancerous tissue of lung from 300 to 1700 cm(-1) were measured. In the cancerous tissue of lung, the orderly conformations of amides III and amides I of the main chains in protein such as alpha-helix, beta-corner and no rules curly were damaged seriously; conversely, the extendable vibration of skeleton C-N and skeleton C-C increased. Side chains change became complicated. In general, the content of nucleic acids increases in the cancer tissue of lung. The lengthways conformations of lecithoid chains is out-of-order in the cancerous tissue of lung compared with the natural ones.

Objective: Treatment approaches for endometrial cancer became more personalized in the last decade, mainly due to two key advancements - sentinel lymph node (SLN) mapping and molecular classification. However, their prognostic interaction remains relatively unexplored.

Methods: This retrospective cohort study included patients with endometrial cancer, who underwent surgical treatment including SLN mapping at the Bern University Hospital, Switzerland.

Glucose binding can alter protein oligomerization to enable differentiation. Here, we demonstrate that glucose binding is a general capacity of DExD/H-box RNA helicases, including DDX50, which was found to be essential for the differentiation of diverse cell types. Glucose binding to conserved DDX50 ATP binding sequences altered protein conformation and dissociated DDX50 dimers.

Exploring Multiplex Immunohistochemistry (mIHC) Techniques and Histopathology Image Analysis: Current Practice and Potential for Clinical Incorporation.

Background: By simultaneously staining multiple immunomarkers on a single tissue section, multiplexed immunohistochemistry (mIHC) enhances the amount of information that can be observed in a single tissue section and thus can be a powerful tool to visualise cellular interactions directly in the tumour microenvironment. Performing mIHC remains technically and practically challenging, and this technique has many limitations if not properly validated. However, with proper validation, heterogeneity between histopathological images can be avoided.

Background: Bioinformatics analysis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) expression profiles can aid in understanding its molecular mechanisms and identifying new targets for diagnosis and treatment.

Aim: In this study, we analyzed expression profile datasets and miRNA expression profiles related to HCC from the GEO using R software to detect differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and differentially expressed miRNAs (DEmiRs).

Methods And Results: Common DEGs were identified, and a PPI network was constructed using the STRING database and Cytoscape software to identify hub genes.
