The changes of indices of the lipid peroxidation and antioxidant activity in elderly patients were studied. All the patients had cardiovascular pathology and had been getting ready for ophthalmology interventions about cataract. It is ascertained that the dynamics of lipid peroxidation and antioxidant activity indices connected with pre-surgery therapy can be the authentic prognosis criterion in regard to safety of an operation and possible cardiovascular complications.
