Prior studies have proposed several electrocardiogram criteria for identifying patients with acute inferior ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (iSTEMI) caused by obstruction of the proximal part of the right coronary artery (RCA). We applied 11 of these criteria and three new ones to the admission electrocardiograms of 80 patients admitted with an acute iSTEMI in order to evaluate their utility. All patients received thrombolytic treatment and underwent coronary angiography during the hospitalization. Four previously described criteria (ST-segment depression in lead V1, ST-segment depression in leads V1-V3, maximum ST-segment depression in the precordial leads, and ST-segment depression in lead V3 of

Pregnancy-related spontaneous coronary artery dissection (P-SCAD) is a life-threatening condition that occurs during or after pregnancy, is rare and can be overlooked. It is one of the most important causes of pregnancy-related acute myocardial infarction. A 25-year-old female patient was admitted with a complaint of chest pain in her 37th week of pregnancy.

Background: Recently it has been suggested that coronary microvascular dysfunction (CMD) may explain the high false-positive rate of exercise electrocardiographic stress testing (EST). However, patients with angina but non-obstructive coronary artery disease (ANOCA) present with a broader spectrum of coronary vasomotor dysfunction (CVDys), namely coronary artery spasm (CAS), CMD or a combination of both. We aim to investigate the diagnostic value of EST for the entire CVDys spectrum.

To assess the effectiveness of transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) on electrocardiographic remodeling in patients with severe aortic stenosis (AS), and identify its influencing factors. A cohort study was conducted on patients with a confirmed diagnosis of severe AS who successfully underwent TAVR at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University between June 2018 and March 2023. Data, including standard 15-lead electrocardiograms and echocardiograms, were collected before the operation, 1 week after the operation, and 3 months after the operation.

Background: This large-scale study analyzes factors affecting the diagnostic accuracy of low-dose myocardial perfusion imaging and correlation with coronary angiography in a real-world practice.
Methods: We compared data extracted from routine reports of (i) low-dose [Tc]sestamibi stress-MPI performed with no attenuation correction and predominantly exercise stress testing and (ii) the corresponding coronary angiography.
Results: We considered 1070 pairs of coronary angiography/stress-MPI results reported by 11 physicians.

Patients presenting with suspected acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in the emergency department (ED) require rapid and accurate electrocardiographic (ECG) evaluation. This study aims to assess conventional ECG markers for diagnosing non-ST-elevation ACS (NSTE-ACS) in patients with chest discomfort and right bundle branch block (RBBB). A nested case-control design was employed to compare patients with RBBB admitted to the ED for suspected cardiac ischemia, focusing on those who developed NSTE-ACS versus those who did not.
