Rhinophyma is thought to represent the most severe expression of acne rosacea for which surgery is the mainstay of treatment. The use of Versajet Hydrosurgery System has not been previously described for the treatment of this condition. We present six patients with moderate to severe rhinophyma ranging from 41 to 77 years of age who were treated successfully with this technique.

Rhinophyma, characterized by hypertrophy of sebaceous glands, often necessitates surgical intervention. This is the second case report of the off-label use of the Versajet II Hydrosurgery System (VJHS) (Smith & Nephew, London, UK) in the United States for the treatment of rhinophyma and the first systematic review of the literature, emphasizing its efficacy and safety for this indication. A surgical debulking and resurfacing was performed on a patient with rhinophyma.

Pressure ulcers (PUs), also known as pressure injuries, are chronic wounds that represent potential lifelong complications. Pressure ulcers of a deep category (III and IV) are often indicated for surgical treatment - debridement and surgical reconstruction. Sharp surgical debridement is widely used in the debridement of PUs; however, the Versajet® hydrosurgery system is becoming an increasingly popular tool for tangential excision in surgery due to its numerous advantages.

The combination of obesity, diabetes mellitus (DM), and reduced mobility due to spina bifida can contribute to an increased risk of osteomyelitis. Spina bifida, a congenital defect of the spinal cord, causes vertebral column deformities and neurological impairment. Obesity can lead to increased pressure and stress on the bones and joints, as well as poor circulation and immune dysfunction, including neutrophil migration disorders.

Treatment of axillary contracture after extensive deep burns is a serious clinical challenge. Various surgical intervention for releasing contracture using skin grafts, flaps and artificial skin have been used, but no consensus on the optimal treatment has been obtained. A standardized two-stage debridement strategy using an electric dermatome (for eschar) and the Versajet™ hydrosurgery system (for slough) can be an appropriate debridement strategy that provides reliable wound bed preparation in cases of for axillary deep burns.

Introduction: Deep partial-thickness and full-thickness burn wounds often undergo tangential excision or escharectomy to expose healthy tissue, combined with skin grafting to promote wound healing. However, conventional tangential excision with the humby knife leads to inevitable damage to the dermis while excising burn tissue due to the lack of precision. Indeed, the preservation of dermal tissue is a key factor in determining wound healing and scar quality.
