Background: Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is an immune defect characterized by primary hypogammaglobulinemia. The most clinical manifestations are recurrent infection of respiratory tract.
Aim: We reported seven cases of DICV which showed
Methods: We reported seven cases of CVID between 1994 and 2004, included six women and one man.
Results: The mean age at the first clinical symptoms is 23 years and the mean age at diagnosis is 38. Six patients presented recurrent bacterial infection particularly of the upper and the lower respiratory tract, these infections can lead to chronic diseases such as bronchiectasis. Two patients had chronic diarrhea caused by nodular lymphoid hyperplasia, we showed two cases of granulomatous: spleen tuberculosis and pulmonary sarcoidosis. The diagnostic was confirmed by protein electrophoresis and serum levels of immunoglobulin. All patients received treatment with intravenous immunoglobulin, with a decrease in frequency and severity of infection episodes.
Conclusions: Protein electrophoresis must be done in a young adult with recurrent low respiratory tract infections and/or diffuse bronchectasis.

Delays in development that occur during early childhood can have long-lasting consequences, potentially leading to poor academic achievement. Research has shown that the human immunodeficiency virus can have neurotropic effects, which may impact the development of the brain in infected children. However, there is a scarcity of evidence regarding developmental delays among children with human immunodeficiency virus in the study area.

Treatment of HIV has historically required taking daily oral antiretroviral therapy (ART). A recent alternative to daily oral ART is long-acting injectable ART with cabotegravir plus rilpivirine, administered monthly or every 2 months. The purpose of this qualitative study was to evaluate the concept relevance and interpretability of five previously developed questions: one treatment preference question and four questions designed to assess how the emotional burden associated with HIV treatment impacts treatment preferences.

Background/objectives: Common Variable Immunodeficiency Disease (CVID) and other immunodeficiencies can present in subtle and variable ways. Whether or not a genetic lesion can be identified, there are not well understood biomarkers that quantitatively describe how severe a deficiency is. Here we discuss two possible ranking systems, CD4/CD8 T cell ratios and Immune Health Grades, and how such data maybe applicable to some immunodeficiencies.

Introduction: Blood-based tests represent a compelling option for early detection and management of cancers and other chronic diseases. While they may increase patient engagement, assumptions about greater adherence in clinical practice need further evaluation. This systematic review aimed to evaluate real-world adherence to established blood-based tests for commonly recommended screening indications to inform expectations for average-risk colorectal cancer (CRC) screening.

Background: The relationship between inborn errors of immunity (IEIs) and COVID-19 severity and incidence rates remains unclear due to limited and diverse data. This study aimed to address this gap by identifying specific IEIs associated with an increased risk of severe COVID-19 or a predisposition to severe disease before vaccination.
Materials And Methods: Data were collected from the medical records of 15 patients with various IEIs, supplemented by interviews with individuals from an IEIs registry who had experienced COVID-19 before vaccination.
