Global and partial synchronism in phase-locked loop networks.

Published: October 2012

We analytically investigate the existence of global and partial synchronism in neural networks where each node is represented by a phase oscillator. Partial synchronism, which is important to pattern recognition, can be caused by increasing the natural frequency of an oscillator and restricting the frequencies of others in certain ranges.

This study aims to investigate the factors influencing job satisfaction among university teachers, considering various complex constructs such as salary and financial benefits, career growth and opportunities, relationships with colleagues, recognition, working environment, and leadership. Utilizing a quantitative cross-sectional research design, the present study was conducted in Bangladesh between August and December 2022. Encompassing 7 public universities and 12 private universities, the research purposively sampled 95 participants, adhering to a systematic and comprehensive approach to data collection.

The synchronous occurrence of pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasm (PNEN) and clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) in one patient is extremely rare. Synchronous resection of both tumours is preferred over a two-stage procedure if possible. The robotic da Vinci Xi platform allows for multi-quadrant surgery with oncological outcomes comparable to those of laparoscopic or open surgery.

L-Cysteine (L-Cys) serves as both an inhibitor of the carcinogen 1-methyl-6-phenylimidazo[4,5-b]pyridine (PhIP) and an enhancer of food flavor, supporting efforts to improve food safety and quality. Using a glucose/phenylalanine/creatinine model system, this study assessed the effects of varying L-Cys concentrations on PhIP inhibition and pyrazine flavor enhancement through UPLC-MS/MS and GC-MS analyses. The optimal PhIP reduction (82.

Unmet needs in the management of patients with bilateral synchronous renal masses: the rationale for clinical decision-making.

Minerva Urol Nephrol

December 2024

European Association of Urology (EAU), Young Academic Urologists (YAU) Renal Cancer Working Group, Arnhem, the Netherlands.

Background: Bilateral synchronous renal masses (BSRMs) are a rare finding, and the optimal treatment strategy remains undetermined. This study depicts the management of BSRM at eight European high-volume centers.

Methods: This is a retrospective analysis of prospective institutional databases collecting all patients presenting with clinical T1-2 N0 M0 BSRMs between 1993 and 2020 at 8 tertiary referral high-volume centers for renal cancer treatment in Europe.

Synchronous clonally related anaplastic large cell lymphoma and malignant histiocytosis.

Diagn Pathol

January 2025

Laboratoire Hospitalier Universitaire de Bruxelles - Universitair Laboratorium Brussel, Université Libre de Bruxelles LHUB-ULB, Brussels, Belgium.

Background: Synchronous malignant histiocytoses are rare conditions that occur concurrently with another hematologic neoplasm. Most reported cases are associated with B-cell lymphoproliferative disorders, while associations with T-cell hemopathies are less common. These two diseases may share mutations and/or cytogenetic anomalies, which can lead to malignant proliferations.
