Spirocyclic alkyl amino carbene (SCAAC) Ru complexes demonstrate outstanding activity and selectivity in ethenolysis of methyl oleate (MO) or fatty acid methyl esters (FAMEs), and 5,6-dimethoxyindane derivative was the most active catalyst to date. For the further catalyst design, we proposed modifying the spirocyclic fragment by fusion of saturated carbo- or heterocycle, linked to the 5,6-positions of indane or 6,7- positions of tetralin. Another suggested way of the modification of SCAAC complex was the insertion of chromane fragment to the carbene ligand.

Background: Changes in voice are a symptom of Parkinson's disease and used to assess the progression of the condition. However, natural differences in the voices of people can make this challenging. Computerized binary speech classification can identify people with PD (PwPD), but its multiclass application to detect the severity of the disease remains difficult.

Accurate identification of coal and gangue is a crucial guarantee for efficient and safe mining of top coal caving face. This article proposes a coal-gangue recognition method based on an improved beluga whale optimization algorithm (IBWO), convolutional neural network, and long short-term memory network (CNN-LSTM) multi-modal fusion model. First, the mutation and memory library mechanisms are introduced into the beluga whale optimization to explore the solution space fully, prevent falling into local optimum, and accelerate the convergence process.

Article Synopsis
  • - The study focuses on evaluating interface bonding in asphalt composites due to a surge in the pavement sector, emphasizing the potential for cost savings through efficient bonding assessments.
  • - Microscopic and mechanical analyses were conducted on four different asphalt mixture groups, using techniques like fluorescence microscopy and a pull-off method to investigate the quality of the interface transition zones.
  • - Results from various performance tests (like rutting and semi-circular bending) showed how interface properties directly relate to the overall performance of asphalt mixtures, while innovative methods were introduced for better characterization of these interfaces.

Hybrid Multi-Objective Chameleon Optimization Algorithm Based on Multi-Strategy Fusion and Its Applications.

Biomimetics (Basel)

September 2024

School of Intelligent Manufacturing and Electronic Engineering, Wenzhou University of Technology, Wenzhou 325035, China.

Aiming at the problems of chameleon swarm algorithm (CSA), such as slow convergence speed, poor robustness, and ease of falling into the local optimum, a multi-strategy improved chameleon optimization algorithm (ICSA) is herein proposed. Firstly, logistic mapping was introduced to initialize the chameleon population to improve the diversity of the initial population. Secondly, in the prey-search stage, the sub-population spiral search strategy was introduced to improve the global search ability and optimization accuracy of the algorithm.
