We have experimentally shown that a degenerate optical parametric oscillator pumped by a cw laser, inserted in a cavity having degenerate transverse modes such as a hemiconfocal or confocal cavity, and operating below the oscillation threshold in the regime of phase sensitive amplification, is able to process input images of various shapes in the quantum regime. More precisely, when deamplified, the image is amplitude squeezed; when amplified, its two polarization components are intensity correlated at the quantum level. In addition, the amplification process of the images is shown to take place in the noiseless regime.

Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of weekly adalimumab (ADA) treatment in non-infectious uveitis (NIU) patients, including both pediatric and adult populations, and identify factors influencing treatment efficacy.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study at two hospitals in Türkiye included 51 NIU patients (29 children, 22 adults) who escalated from bi-weekly to weekly ADA due to inadequate disease control. Data on six clinical parameters (anterior chamber reaction, vitreous haze, visual acuity, central macular thickness [CMT], prednisone use, uveitis flare-up frequency), adverse effects, and treatment-related factors were collected.

This study aims to evaluate the quantitative changes in retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness and radial peripapillary capillary (RPC) vessel density in patients with chronic central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR), specifically excluding the peripapillary region. A prospective case-control study was conducted at the Antalya Training and Research Hospital, Health Sciences University, involving 65 patients with chronic CSCR. Participants were categorized into two groups based on the presence or regression of subretinal fluid (SRF).

Silver gallium sulfide (AgGaS) is a ternary ABX-type semiconductor featuring a direct bandgap and high chemical stability. Structurally resembling diamond, AgGaS has gained considerable attention as a highly promising material for nonlinear optical applications such as second harmonic generation and optical parametric oscillation. In attempts to expand the research scope, on the one hand, AgGaS-derived bulk materials with similar diamond-like configurations have been investigated for the enhancement of nonlinear optics performance, especially the improvement of laser-induced damage thresholds and/or nonlinear coefficients; on the other hand, nanoscale AgGaS and its derivatives have been synthesized with sizes as low as the exciton Bohr radius for the realization of potential applications in the fields of optoelectronics and lighting.

The current study aimed to quantify the length progression of enamel microcracks (EMCs) after debonding metal and ceramic brackets, implementing OCT as a diagnostic tool. The secondary objectives included a three-dimensional assessment of EMC width and depth and the formation of new EMCs. OCT imaging was performed on 16 extracted human premolars before bonding and after debonding.

Individuals with Down syndrome (DS) often present with severe periodontal disease at a young age. Adjuvant treatments to scaling and root planing (SRP), such as antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT), may benefit this population. This study evaluated the effectiveness of aPDT as an adjunct to SRP in individuals with DS.
