We report a highly flexible light-emitting device in which inorganic nanowires are the optically active components. The single-crystalline ZnO nanowires are grown at 80 degrees C on flexible polymer-based indium-tin-oxide-coated substrates and subsequently encapsulated in a minimal-thickness, void-filling polystyrene film. A reflective top contact serving as the anode in the diode structure is provided by a strongly doped p-type polymer and an evaporated Au film. The emission through the polymer side of this arrangement covers most of the visual region. Electrical and optical properties as well as performance limitations of the device structure are discussed.

A new photopolymerizable organic-inorganic (O-I) hybrid sol-gel material, AUP@SiO-184, has been synthesized and utilized as a gate dielectric in flexible organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs). The previously reported three-arm alkoxy-functionalized silane amphiphilic polymer has yielded stable O-I hybrid materials comprising uniformly dispersed nanoparticles in the sol state. In this study, a photosensitizer was introduced, facilitating curing effects under ultraviolet light.

Amino-quinolines are potential candidates that may provide some insight into the current chemotherapeutic research due to their demonstrated anti-cancer activity. This led us to synthesize and explore a new amino-azo-quinoline ligand H2L 1 and its square planar nickel(II) complexes [Ni(HL)(OAc)], 2 and [Ni(HL)Cl], 3 and the structures were determined by SCXRD. Theoretical investigation of redox orbitals of the complexes discloses that the reduction process is due to ligand reduction whereas both metal and ligand are contributing towards oxidation.

Organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites have demonstrated great potential for flexible optoelectronic devices due to their superior optoelectronic properties and structural flexibility. However, mechanical deformation-induced cracks at the buried interface and delamination from the substrate severely constrain the optoelectronic performance and device lifespan. Here, we design a two-site bonding strategy aiming to reinforce the mechanical stability of the SnO2/perovskite interface and perovskite layer using a multifunctional organic salt, 4-(trifluoromethoxy)phenylhydrazine hydrochloride (TPH).

Environmental and human health is severely threatened by wastewater and air pollution, which contain a broad spectrum of organic and inorganic pollutants. Organic contaminants include dyes, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), medical waste, antibiotics, pesticides, and chemical warfare agents. Inorganic gases such as CO, SO, and NO are commonly found in polluted water and air.

Solid-state lithium (Li) metal batteries (SSLMBs) are considered as one of the most promising next-generation battery technologies due to their high energy density and intrinsic safety. However, interfacial issues such as side reactions and Li dendrite growth severely hinder the practical application of SSLMBs. In this contribution, we proposed a cationic built-in electrostatic field to drive the generation of an anion-derived dual-layered solid electrolyte interphase (SEI).
