Objective: To study the environmental changes of new snail habitual by using multi-temporal relative radiometric normalized TM images taken in Wuzhoutou of Nanchang, Jiangxi province.
Methods: TM images of Poyang Lake were collected on 3rd April 1998, 16th April 2000 and 5th May 2004. Taking images in 2004 as a reference, the TM images in 1998 and 2000 were radiometric normalized. The images were analyzed to trace the vegetation background and snail historical information.
Results: The vegetation coverage rate of Wuzhaoutou on April 3rd in 1998 was 4.76%, but the vegetation coverage rates of Wuzhoutou on April 16th in 2000 and May 5th in 2004 were above 80%; the NDVI values of Wuzhoutou on April 3rd in 1998 were around -0.4 to 0.2, but the NDVI values of Wuzhoutou on April 16th in 2000 and May 5th in 2004 were mainly around 0.2 to 0.6, which had statistical difference with that in 1998 (q = 162.285321, P < 0.01 and q = 161.669725, P < 0.01). The greenness of three images have statistical differences(q = 178.679245, P < 0.01; q = 130.320755, P < 0.01 and q = - 48.358491, P < 0.01).
Conclusion: Combining with the snail survey, the TM images could be an effective measure for setting up models to forecast the areas where snails might live to control the Schistosomiasis epidemic.

This article presents a comprehensive dataset combining Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery from the Sentinel-1 mission with optical imagery, including RGB and Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), from the Sentinel-2 mission. The dataset consists of 8800 images, organized into four folders-SAR_VV, SAR_VH, RGB, and NDVI-each containing 2200 images with dimensions of 512 × 512 pixels. These images were collected from various global locations using random geographic coordinates and strict criteria for cloud cover, snow presence, and water percentage, ensuring high-quality and diverse data.

In developing countries, examining land use land cover (LULC) change pattern is crucial to understanding the land surface temperature (LST) effect as urban development lacks coherent policy planning. The variability in LST is often determined by continuously changing LULC patterns. In this study, LULC change effect analysis on LST has been carried out using geometric and radiometric corrected thermal bands of multi-spectral Landsat 7 ETM + and 8 TIRS/OLI satellite imagery over Gandhinagar, Gujarat, in the years 2001 and 2022, respectively.

Two commercially available extraction chromatography (EXC) resins containing N,N,N',N'-tetra-n-octyldiglycolamide (DGA Resin, Normal, 50 - 100 μm) and Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phosphate (LN Resin, 100 - 150 μm) were used as adsorbents to study fundamental adsorption properties such as thermodynamic values, equilibrium isotherms, and kinetic uptake models for terbium(III) adsorption. Weight distribution ratios (D) for terbium on DGA and LN resins were measured using a [Tb]Tbradiometric tracer in nitric acid as a function of acidity, temperature, initial analyte concentration, and equilibrium time. The D values showed increasing binding affinity for DGA resin at high nitric acid concentrations and decreasing binding affinity for LN resins.

In this study, six individual machine learning (ML) models and a stacked ensemble model (SEM) were used for daytime visibility estimation at Bangkok airport during the dry season (November-April) for 2017-2022. The individual ML models are random forest, adaptive boosting, gradient boosting, extreme gradient boosting, light gradient boosting machine, and cat boosting. The SEM was developed by the combination of outputs from the individual models.

The potential zones of gold mineralization were identified in this study using aeromagnetic and aero-radiometric methods. The Nigerian Geological Survey Agency (NGSA) provided half-degree airborne magnetic and radiometric datasets covering the southern part of Kebbi State. Magnetic data were subjected to first vertical derivative (1VD), total gradient amplitude (TGA), total horizontal derivative (THD), source edge detection (SED), center for exploration targeting (CET), Euler deconvolution (ED) and source parameter imaging (SPI) to identify favourable structures to gold mineralization.
