GaSe crystals were doped with indium, and improvements in the mechanical properties and second-harmonic efficiency over pure crystals were obtained. Both effects are due to an improvement in the crystal quality of the material, and it was shown that doping with low levels of indium did not alter the intrinsic value of the nonlinear d coefficient.

The growth of large semiconductor crystals is crucial for advancing modern electronics and optoelectronics. While various crystal growth techniques have been developed for lead halide perovskites, a significant challenge remains: as crystal size increases, performance tends to deteriorate dramatically. This study addresses the inherent limitations of perovskite crystal growth by designing a novel strategy for near-equilibrium growth system to maintain optimal conditions throughout the process.

Schottky diodes have been a fundamental component of electrical circuits for many decades, and intense research continues to this day on planar materials with increasingly exotic compounds. With the birth of nanotechnology, a paradigm shift occurred with Schottky contacts proving to be essential for enabling nanodevice inventions and increasing their performance by many orders of magnitude, particularly in the fields of piezotronics and piezoelectric energy harvesting. ZnO nanomaterials have proven to be the most popular materials in those devices as they possess high piezoelectric coefficients, high surface sensitivity, and low resistivity due to the high native n-type doping and low hole concentration.

Background: Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a highly malignant tumor, and only some patients can receive surgical treatment. Complex surgical procedures combined with various postoperative complications seriously affect the prognosis of patients. It is very important to use appropriate biomarkers to prevent and predict the occurrence of complications.

In this study, three fullerene derivatives─, , and ─were synthesized and investigated as additives in PCBM-based electron-transporting layers (ETLs) for inverted perovskite solar cells (PVSCs). The incorporation of and into the ETLs led to improved ETL morphology and passivation of crystal defects on the surface of the methylammonium lead iodide (MAPbI) layer. This defect passivation enhanced crystal quality, increased UV-vis absorption, reduced charge recombination, and improved electron mobility in the - and -based PVSCs.

Recently, interface scattering and low mobility have significantly impeded the performance of two-dimensional (2D) P-type transistors. 2D semiconductor tellurium (Te) has garnered significant interest owing to its unique atomic chain crystal structure, which confers ultrahigh hole mobility. van der Waals heterojunction enhances transistor performance by reducing scattering at the gate-channel interface, attributed to its high-quality interface.
