Advanced colorectal cancer, while uncommon, can occur in a young patient. We present a rare case of advanced transverse colon cancer in a young patient with vague symptoms and unique comorbid conditions, while reviewing the literature on colorectal cancer and its association with autoimmune conditions. With a recent increase in the incidence of colon cancer in young patients, further research is needed as to whether colorectal cancer screening is warranted in younger cohorts outside of current recommendations and guidelines.

The research aims to envisage small molecule inhibitors targeting the C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 10 (CXCL10) of the JAK/STAT pathway. CXCL10 plays a significant role in inducing auto-immunity in vitiligo through JAK/STAT pathway. To accomplish the aim, structure-based virtual screening with fundamental search limits, e.

Vitiligo treatment with vitamins, minerals and polyphenol supplementation.

Indian J Dermatol

Background: Mammalian pigmentation results from the synthesis and accumulation of photo protective epidermal melanin. Melanin was formed from the amino acid precursor L-tyrosine within specialized cells, the melanocytes. Oxidative stress has been suggested to be the initial pathogenetic event in melanocyte degeneration with H(2)O(2) accumulation in the epidermis of patients with active disease.

Unlabelled: Autoantibodies to glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD-Ab) have been described in stiff-man syndrome, type 1 diabetes mellitus and in patients with auto-immune polyglandular failure. In addition, a few patients with progressive cerebellar ataxia show high titres of GAD-Ab, suggesting an auto-immune origin.

Aim: This is a report of a patient presenting with cerebellar ataxia associated to late-onset type 1 diabetes and polyendocrine auto-immunity.
