Background: The phase I Induction trial (NCT04287894) assessed the feasibility and safety of induction immunotherapy (IIT) prior to concurrent chemoradiotherapy (cCRT) in patients with locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
Methods: Patients with unresectable stage II/III NSCLC were eligible for inclusion. Patients received either one cycle of tremelimumab (75mg) with two cycles of durvalumab (1500mg) in cohort I, one cycle of tremelimumab (300mg) with two cycles of durvalumab in cohort II or one cycle of tremelimumab (300mg) with one cycle of durvalumab in cohort III.

This ambispective observational study assessed the impact of Noona, an electronic patient-reported outcomes (ePRO) platform, for patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) treated in a community oncology setting. Adults with advanced NSCLC, ECOG performance status of 0-2, who received first-line (1L) pembrolizumab (monotherapy or with chemotherapy) were eligible. Those initiating pembrolizumab from 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2019, identified retrospectively (historical cohort), were compared with those initiating pembrolizumab from 1 October 2019 to 30 September 2021 who were prospectively offered Noona (standard of care [SoC] cohort).

Background: In the clinic, the primary conventional treatments of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) are surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. In recent years, immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have shown promise in optimizing therapeutic benefits when combined with other immunotherapies or standard therapies. However, effective biomarkers for distant metastasis or recurrence have yet to be identified, making it difficult to determine the best therapeutic approaches.

Background: Metastasis of non-gastrointestinal (non-GI) cancers to the upper GI tract is a rare occurrence, with limited cases reported in the literature. Recognising this type of metastasis is crucial, as it presents unique diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. This case series adds to the literature by discussing seven rare cases of non-GI cancer metastasising to the upper GI tract, emphasising the complications and clinical manifestations.

Background: Primary pulmonary lymphoepithelial carcinoma (pLEC) is a subtype of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) characterized by Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection. However, the molecular pathogenesis of pLEC remains poorly understood.
Methods: In this study, we explored pLEC using whole-exome sequencing (WES) and RNA-whole-transcriptome sequencing (RNA-seq) technologies.
