Lead-free halide perovskite (LFHP) materials have recently received a lot of attention in optoelectronic applications due to their low toxicity and outstanding optical characteristics. Simultaneously, the increased thrust for flexible, wearable, and lightweight optoelectronic devices is driving improvements in sensor and actuator technology. In this context, flexible piezoelectric polymer composites based on LFHPs are gaining popularity due to their exceptional piezoelectric, pyroelectric, ferroelectric, and optical traits.

The main objective of this study is to predict and monitor groundwater quality through the use of modern Machine Learning (ML) techniques. By employing ML techniques, the research effectively evaluates groundwater quality to forecast its future trends. Five machine learning models Logistic Regression (LR), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Random Forest (RF), Adaptive Boosting (AdaBoost), Extreme Gradient and Boosting (XGBoost) were used here to predict the water quality by assessing the physical and chemical parameters such as electrical conductivity (EC), hydrogen ion (pH) concentration, total dissolved solids (TDS), chemical parameters such as, sodium (Na), magnesium (Mg), calcium (Ca), potassium (K), bicarbonates (HCO), fluoride (F), sulphate (SO), chloride (Cl), and nitrate (NO) in 94 dug and bore wells from the semi-arid river basin (Arjunanadi) in Tamil Nadu, India.

Two Gram-negative, catalase- and oxidase-positive, cream-coloured, short rod-shaped, and motile bacterial strains, designated CS7 and SSM6, were isolated from mud and marine water collected in Incheon, Republic of Korea. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that both strains belonged to the genus Halomonas. Strain CS7 exhibited the highest 16S rRNA similarity with Halomonas urmiana TBZ3 (99.

A specialized optical chemical sensor for boron detection was designed using a polymer inclusion membrane (PIM). This unique sensor relies on an encapsulation method to create its optical membrane. The components involved in this sensor include azomethine H (AMH) as the reactive agent, polyvinyl chloride as the foundational polymer, and dinonylnaphthalene sulphonic acid (DNNS) as the extraction agent within the PIM structure.
