We will report on a case with a large intra-articular loose body in the metacarpophalangeal (MP) joint of the middle finger in a 30-year-old-male, which was mimicking a calcified tumourous lesion adjacent to the palmar side of the metacarpal head. It was easily removed through the palmar approach.

A 13-year-old boy was referred to orthopedic surgery for chronic intermittent pain and swelling of the left knee. Initial imaging was consistent with osteochondritis dissecans of the femoral condyle. Follow-up imaging demonstrated unexpected progression, with a mass extending into the notch, replacing the anterior cruciate ligament, and eroding the femoral and tibial condyles.

Chronic Osgood-Schlatter disease can cause significant knee pain and can result in severe functional deficits. For large, painful Osgood-Schlatter disease ossicles refractory to conservative management, surgical ossicle excision can provide resolution of symptoms. After diagnostic arthroscopy and intra-articular debridement, our preferred excision technique uses an open incision for direct visualization and removal of intratendinous ossicles, followed by distal patellar tendon repair and subsequent fixation with FiberTape sutures and knotless anchors to the tibial tubercle.

Background: This study aimed to elucidate the safety and intra-articular elution profiles of vancomycin and gentamicin bone cement in patients undergoing primary total knee arthroplasty (TKA), with a focus on serum safety thresholds and therapeutic efficacy.
Methods: Consecutive patients who underwent unilateral primary TKA were prospectively enrolled. The implants were fixed using gentamicin-impregnated bone cement, and after arthrotomy closure, 1000 mg of vancomycin suspended in 25 mL of normal saline was directly injected into the joint.

Objective: This study aimed to assess the effects of an antioxidant-conjugated Hyaluronic Acid (HA), specifically HA-4-aminoresorcinol (HA4AR), on articular cartilage and subchondral bone in osteoarthritis (OA). We conducted a comparative analysis between HA4AR and a commercially available high molecular weight HA formulation in a rabbit model of OA.
Materials And Methods: Eighteen rabbits underwent unilateral anterior cruciate ligament transection (ACLT) and were divided into three groups of six: Saline-group, HA-group, and HA4AR-group, based on the type of intra-articular injection received.

Background: Knee osteoarthritis (OA) is a debilitating condition, and synovitis is a structural marker of disease progression that can be identified on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Nonsurgical therapies have been developed with the goal of targeting this inflammation to reduce pain and slow disease progression.
Purpose: To review current randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that measured changes in pain outcomes and synovitis on MRI scans after nonsurgical treatment for persons with knee OA.
