The Arabian Peninsula is considered the initial site of historic human migration out of Africa. The modern-day indigenous Arabians are believed to be the descendants who remained from the ancient split of the migrants into Eurasia. Here, we investigated how the population history and cultural practices such as endogamy have shaped the genetic variation of the Saudi Arabians.

Background: The patterns of inbreeding coefficients () and fine spatial genetic structure (FSGS) were evaluated regarding the mating system and inbreeding depression of food-deceptive orchids, , var. , and , from NE Poland.
Methods: We used 455 individuals, representing nine populations of three taxa and AFLPs, to estimate percent polymorphic loci and Nei's gene diversity, which are calculated using the Bayesian method; ; ; FSGS with the pairwise kinship coefficient (); and AMOVA in populations.
Background: Escalating pyrethroid resistance in malaria vectors highlights the urgency of implementing new control tools incorporating non-pyrethroid molecules. Here, using DNA-based metabolic resistance markers, we assessed the efficacy of the dual active ingredients net Royal Guard against pyrethroids-resistant malaria vectors in Cameroon, establishing its long-term impact on mosquitoes' life traits after exposure.
Results: Cone assays revealed low efficacy of Royal Guard against field Anopheles populations.

Objective: Language disorder, a prevalent developmental disorder, impedes children's communication skills, with genetic and environmental factors playing pivotal roles in its pathomechanism. This study aims to investigate the involvement of sequence variations in and genes, along with environmental variables, in language disorder's etiology.
Methods: Between September 2022 and March 2023, thirty children aged 2-7 diagnosed with language disorders according to DSM-5 criteria, and evaluated using the Ankara Developmental Screening Inventory, were studied to identify genetic and environmental factors contributing to etiology.

The agronomical interest of hybrid wheat has long been a matter of debate. Compared to maize where hybrids have been successfully grown for decades, the mixed results obtained in wheat have been attributed at least partially to the lack of heterotic groups. The wheat genome is known to be strongly partitioned and characterized by numerous presence/absence variations and alien introgressions which have not been thoroughly considered in hybrid breeding.
