Background: For restorative demands, increased vertical dimension of occlusion (VDO) is sometimes necessary, as facial changes can be perceptible.
Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the perception of facial change due to increased VDO and associated soft tissue changes using 3D-scanned facial images.
Methods: Forty participants with healthy dentition and no loss of VDO were recruited.

Pediatric-type follicular lymphoma (PTFL) is an extremely rare B-cell lymphoma that primarily affects children and young adults, typically in individuals under 25 years old, with a median age of 15 years. Here, we report a rare case of PTFL in a 27-year-old adult male who presented with a slow-growing mass near his left ear. Initial CT scans of the neck revealed two oval-shaped, smooth, well-defined, homogeneously enhancing soft tissue density lesions in the superficial lobe of the left parotid gland.

HIV-associated neurocognitive disorder (HAND) is a complex neurological complication resulting from human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, affecting about 50% of individuals with HIV and significantly diminishing their quality of life. HAND includes a variety of cognitive, motor, and behavioral disorders, severely impacting patients' quality of life and social functioning. Although combination antiretroviral therapy (cART) has greatly improved the prognosis for HIV patients, the incidence of HAND remains high, underscoring the urgent need to better understand its pathological mechanisms and develop early diagnostic methods.
