Primary renal rhabdomyosarcoma is a rare entity. We report on a pediatric patient who, despite having multiple metastases to the lung on presentation, is free of disease 28 months after radical nephrectomy combined with chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

Background: Antiangiogenic inhibitors plus immune checkpoint inhibitors have synergistic antitumor activity and have improved treatment outcomes in patients with renal cell carcinoma (RCC).
Objective: We report the RCC cohort from a phase Ib/II study in Chinese patients evaluating the efficacy and safety of fruquintinib plus sintilimab in treating advanced clear cell RCC (ccRCC).
Patients And Methods: Eligible patients had pathologically confirmed advanced ccRCC.

Nephrotic syndrome (NS) occurs in 5-15% of patients with IgA nephropathy (IgAN), resulting in poorer long-term outcomes compared to those without NS. Clinical features and renal prognosis for patients with both NS and IgAN across different kidney pathologies have not been fully elucidated. This study included patients with primary IgAN through renal biopsy at the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University from January 2001 to November 2021 presenting with NS.

Why inhibiting calcineurin, a serine/threonine phosphatase, causes kidney fibrosis remains unknown. We performed single-nucleus RNA sequencing of the kidney from a chronic CNI nephrotoxicity mouse model and found an increased proportion of injured proximal tubule cells, which exhibited altered expression of genes associated with oxidative phosphorylation, cellular senescence and fibrosis.

Objective: Paravisceral aortic lesions present significant challenges for endovascular treatment. This retrospective analysis of consecutively treated patients from April 2017 to June 2021 aimed to analyse the outcome of primary intra-operative embolisation of aortic complicated pseudoaneurysms and gutter channels during parallel graft (PG) repair of paravisceral symptomatic aortic pseudoaneurysms.
Methods: Patients with symptomatic pseudoaneurysms of the paravisceral aorta treated with PGs using chimney or periscope configurations were included.

Background: The urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio (UACR) or urinary protein-to-creatinine ratio (UPCR) has been reported as predictors of cardiovascular and renal events. We aimed to evaluate the impact of changes in proteinuria severity on the prognosis of hypertensive patients post-esaxerenone initiation.
Methods And Results: Hypertensive patients who commenced esaxerenone (n=164) were classified into 3 groups according to baseline UACR or UPCR, based on the modified proteinuria severity classification: A1 (normal; n=35); A2 (microalbuminuria/mild proteinuria; n=49); and A3 (macroalbuminuria/severe proteinuria; n=80).
