The importance of oxidative stress in the aetiology of male infertility has occasioned numerous clinical trials designed to assess the potential of antioxidants for treating this condition. These trials have not returned definitive results, probably because they have never selected participants on the basis of oxidative stress. Clearly, if a moderate to severe state of oxidative stress does not exist in semen, antioxidants can hardly be expected to improve fertility.

Objective: This scoping review aims to identify the clinical competency characteristics, in terms of knowledge, skills, and attitudes, of advanced practice nurses in primary care settings.

Introduction: Although much has been written about the competencies of advanced practice nurses, more detail about the skills, knowledge, and attitudes that inform their clinical competency in primary health care needs to be ascertained. This will promote the development, implementation, and evaluation of advanced nursing practice in contexts where it is unavailable.

Introduction: The 41st National Poison Data System Annual Report from America's Poison Centers is published in this issue of This Commentary focuses on comparing the different poisoning-related surveillance systems in the United States while highlighting some of the strengths and weaknesses of the National Poison Data System. It also reviews the process underlying the fatality review section of the Annual Report.

Comparison Of Poisoning Surveillance Systems: In order to place the data reported by the National Poison Data System in context, the National Poison Data System was compared to other available poisoning surveillance systems in the United States: the American College of Medical Toxicology's Toxicology Investigators Consortium (ToxIC) Registry, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Injury Prevention and Control Web-based Injury Statistics Query and Reporting System (WISQARS) which partners with the Consumer Products Safety Commission's National Electronic Injury Surveillance System - All Injury Program (NEISS-AIP), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Wide-ranging ONline Data for Epidemiologic Research (CDC WONDER) database.

Introduction: Pediatric neurology provides care for children with complex developmental disorders with environmental, genetic, metabolic, and teratogenic etiologies. Common neurodevelopmental conditions include attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and autism spectrum disorder. However, only minimal attention from pediatric neurology journals has been devoted to fetal alcohol spectrum disorder.

This symposium includes twelve personal narratives from healthcare interpreters who have navigated challenges while interpreting for patients and healthcare providers who do not share a common language. These stories are from trained professionals who speak a variety of spoken and sign languages.
