A pulmonary artery aneurysm is defined as pulmonary artery dilatation >4 cm. Pulmonary artery aneurysms are rare findings and are usually not associated with chest pain. This is the first report of a case of pulmonary artery aneurysm causing chest pain in a patient with Noonan's syndrome. Chest X-ray showed cardiomegaly and a prominent main pulmonary artery segment and CT confirmed a pulmonary artery aneurysm with a pulmonary artery root measuring 5.6 cm. The patient underwent pulmonary valvuloplasty as well as pulmonary arterioplasty to repair the pulmonary artery aneurysm, and experienced subsequent relief of chest pain. In conclusion, pulmonary artery aneurysm is a rare complication in patients with Noonan's syndrome and can be the cause of chest pain in such patients.

Data on outcomes of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) are limited in patients with pulmonary atresia intact ventricular septum (PAIVS). The objective of this study was to describe the use of ECMO and the associated outcomes in patients with PAIVS. We retrospectively reviewed neonates with PAIVS who received ECMO between 2009 and 2019 in 19 US hospitals affiliated with the Collaborative Research for the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society (CoRe-PCICS).

: Pulmonary embolism (PE) is a potentially serious condition characterized by the blockage of blood vessels in the lungs, often presenting significant diagnostic challenges due to its non-specific symptoms. This study aimed to evaluate the utility of the alveolar-arterial (A-a) oxygen gradient as a diagnostic tool for PE, hypothesizing that it could enhance early detection when combined with other clinical markers. : We retrospectively analyzed 168 patients at the University Hospital Center Split.

Background: Right ventricular (RV) failure is a well-recognized pivotal prognostic factor of adverse outcomes in pulmonary artery hypertension (PAH), while RV dilation provides significant implications for adaptive or maladaptive changes. PAH is a predominant cause of mortality among patients with connective tissue disease (CTD). This study aims to elucidate the prognostic significance of RV morphology, as assessed by echocardiography (ECHO), in with CTD associated with PAH (CTD-PAH).

Methods And Results: The authors analyzed the risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) hospitalizations after COPD hospitalization compared with before COPD hospitalization and patient factors associated with ASCVD hospitalizations after COPD hospitalization among 2 high-risk patient cohorts. The primary outcome was risk of an ASCVD hospitalization composite outcome (myocardial infarction, coronary artery bypass graft, percutaneous coronary intervention, stroke, transient ischemic accident) after COPD hospitalization relative to before COPD hospitalization.

A patient with known pulmonary atresia and intact ventricular septum and ductal stent presented with low cardiac output and arrythmia. Intraoperatively, the patient was found to have an anomalous left coronary artery arising from the pulmonary artery. After reimplantation of the left coronary artery to the aortic root and placement of a central shunt, the patient progressed well and was discharged home.
