Porous lead iodide (PbI) film is crucial for the complete reaction between PbI and ammonium salts in sequential-deposition technology so as to achieve high crystallinity perovskite film. Herein, it is found that the tensile stress in tin (IV) oxide (SnO) electron transport layer (ETL) is a key factor influencing the morphology and crystallization of PbI films. Focusing on this, lithium trifluoromethanesulfonate (LiOTf) is used as an interfacial modifier in the SnO/PbI interface to decrease the tensile stress to reduce the necessary critical Gibbs free energy for PbI nuclei formation.

Metal hexacyanoferrates (HCFs), also known as Prussian blue analogues, are ideal cathodes for potassium-ion batteries (PIBs) due to their nontoxicity and cost-effectiveness. Nevertheless, obtaining metal HCF cathode materials with both long-term cycling stability and high rate performance remains a daunting challenge. In this study, we present mesoporous single-crystalline iron hexacyanoferrate (MSC-FeHCF) microspheres, featuring a single-crystalline structure that contains interconnected pores spanning the entire crystal lattice.

Boehmite nanoparticles and NaY nanozeolite were synthesized by co-precipitation and hydrothermal methods, respectively, and characterized by XRD, FT-IR, TG-DTA, BET, and SEM techniques. XRD and BET analyses demonstrated the formation of boehmite nanoparticles with a surface area of 350 m/g and high crystallinity NaY nanozeolite with a surface area of 957 m/g. In order to evaluate the effect of the content of the mesoporous boehmite nanoparticles on the catalytic performance of the Residue Fluid Catalytic Cracking (RFCC) catalyst, alumina active matrix-based and silica inactive matrix-based catalysts were prepared.

Electrocatalytic transfer alkyne semi-hydrogenation with H2O as hydrogen source is industrially promising for selective electrosynthesis of high value-added alkenes while inhibiting byproduct alkanes. Although great achievements, their development has remarkably restricted by designing atomically sophisticated electrocatalysts. Here, we reported single-crystalline mesoporous copper nanoplates (meso-Cu PLs) as a robust yet highly efficient electrocatalyst for selective alkene electrosynthesis from transfer semi-hydrogenation reaction of alkyne in H2O.

Encapsulating living cells within nanoshells offers an important approach to enhance their stability against environmental stressors and broaden their application scope. However, this often leads to impaired mass transfer at the cell biointerface. Strengthening the protective shell with well-defined, ordered transport channels is crucial to regulating molecular transport and maintaining cell viability and biofunctionality.
