Pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) services are increasingly using alternative programme delivery modes, for example telerehabilitation strategies including videoconferencing, to improve patient choice and accessibility. Although telerehabilitation results in improvements in core outcomes, the effect on knowledge attainment is not known. To observe the real-world responses of patients choosing to undergo videoconference PR to a matched control group choosing to undergo in-person PR, in terms of knowledge attainment.

Background: Labial adhesion (LA) is a total or partial labial fusion mostly seen in pre-pubertal children and is rare in premenopausal and postmenopausal periods. This review aimed to evaluate risk factors for labial fusion and the recurrence rate following surgical intervention in postmenopausal women.
Methods: According to PRISMA guidelines, international databases including Embase, World Cat, Web of Science, Scopus, Dimension, Open Grey, Cochrane, Google Scholar, and also PubMed gateway for PMC and MEDLINE were searched.

Background: The treatment of chronic myeloid leukemia through tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) has achieved promising efficacy and safety outcomes, however the costs are associated with a substantial economic burden. The objective of this study was to develop a Markov model with a 20-year time horizon to assess the cost effectiveness of TKIs from a public healthcare system perspective in South Africa.
Methods: We constructed a Markov model to compare three strategies in which treatment was initiated with either imatinib, nilotinib, or dasatinib.
Background: Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) mainly affects the respiratory tract, but different organs may be involved including the kidney. Data on acute kidney injury (AKI) in critical forms of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) are scarce. We aimed to assess the incidence, risk factors and prognostic impact of AKI complicating critical forms of COVID-19.

Background: Tuberculosis (TB) remains a global challenge and disproportionately affecting vulnerable populations. This study analyses the economic burden of pulmonary TB in Brazil, focusing on direct healthcare costs. It also evaluates the cost-effectiveness of the Directly Observed Treatment (DOT) strategy and the economic effort required to achieve a 90% probability of cure.
