Introduction: Colourism, prejudice where people are penalised the darker their skin and the further their features are from those associated with whiteness, occurs within and between racialised groups and can affect relationships. In this paper we examine the complex processes through which colourism positions Black and mixed Black-White women in contrasting positions in beauty and desirability hierarchies based on their skin shade.
Method: Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 27 Black ( = 18) or mixed Black-White ( = 9) adults (18 women, 9 men) living in Britain.

Bioprinting has emerged as a powerful manufacturing platform for tissue engineering, enabling the fabrication of 3D living structures by assembling living cells, biological molecules, and biomaterials into these structures. Among various biomaterials, hydrogels have been increasingly used in developing bioinks suitable for 3D bioprinting for diverse human body tissues and organs. In particular, hydrogel blends combining gelatin and gelatin methacryloyl (GelMA; "GG hydrogels") receive significant attention for 3D bioprinting owing to their many advantages, such as excellent biocompatibility, biodegradability, intrinsic bioactive groups, and polymer networks that combine the thermoresponsive gelation feature of gelatin and chemically crosslinkable attribute of GelMA.

Face recognition from 2D images is influenced by various factors, including lighting conditions, viewing direction, rotation, and polarity inversion. It has been proposed that these techniques affect face recognition by distorting shape from shading. This study investigates the perception of 3D face shape in 2D images using a gauge figure task.

Background: Translucency of dental ceramics have great impact on the esthetic and success of dental restorations. The goal of the study is to investigate the effect of the aging process on the translucency of zirconia-reinforced lithium silicate ceramic material, and lithium disilicate ceramic material made using CAD/CAM and press processes.
Methods: Thirty disc-shaped specimens with 0.
