This study is aimed at evaluating the neurotoxic effects of chronic exposure of sodium fluoride (NaF) in developmental stages in rat using prenatal models. NaF (100 ppm, orally) dosing via drinking water was given to pregnant rats in disease group. In the treatment groups, Metformin & Dehydrozingerone (DHZ) (200 mg/kg) were administered orally along with NaF, and the dosing was continued throughout the gestation and lactation periods to the pups until the end of experiment.

Introduction: Several cardiovascular outcome trials have been conducted to assess the cardiovascular safety and efficacy of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP1-RAs) on cardiorenal outcomes in patients with type-2 diabetes (T2D). However, the strict requirements of randomised controlled trials to avoid most confounding factors are at the expense of external validity. Using national real-world data, we aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of GLP-1RAs in association with metformin especially on cardiovascular events, hospitalisation for heart failure and all-cause death in comparison with other diabetes treatment schemes using dipeptidyl peptidase IV inhibitors, sulfonylureas/glinides or insulin also associated with metformin.

Background: Findings regarding the protective effect of Angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs) against Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD) and cognitive decline have been inconclusive.
Method: A total of 6,390,826 hypertensive individuals were included in this study from Optum's de-identified Clinformatics® Data Mart. We identified antihypertensive medication (AHM) drug classes and subclassified ARBs by blood-brain barrier (BBB) permeability.

Background: Sodium-glucose transporters 2 inhibitors (SGLT-2i) and glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) are recommended along with metformin for the potential cardiovascular benefits among type 2 diabetes. This meta-analysis aims to evaluate whether the effects of SGLT-2i or GLP-1 RAs on cardiovascular outcomes are consistent with and without baseline metformin use.
Methods: PubMed, Cochrane, Web of Science and Embase were searched for randomized placebo-controlled trials with SGLT-2i or GLP-1 RAs as interventions of type 2 diabetes patients up to June, 2024.

Background: Medications for comorbid conditions may affect cognition in Alzheimer's disease (AD).
Objective: To explore the association between common medications and cognition, measured with the Mini-Mental State Examination.
Methods: Cohort study including persons with AD from the Swedish Registry for Cognitive/Dementia Disorders (SveDem).
