Nocturnal polyuria is a major cause of nocturia, which affects quality of life. Aging-related decreases in nitric oxide production have been reported to contribute to salt-induced nocturnal polyuria. We posited that enhanced nitric oxide production from exercise could mitigate salt-induced nocturnal polyuria.

PARPis resistance is a challenge in the treatment of ovarian cancer. To investigate the potential mechanism involved in olaparib resistance of ovarian cancer, high-throughput sequencing was performed on olaparib-resistant SKOV3 cell line named SK/Ola. SPHK1 was upregulated in SK/Ola cells and was related to the PFS and OS in ovarian cancer patients.

Hospital wastewater (HWW) is a major pollutant that presents significant risks to both environmental and human health. In this study, we developed a novel, inexpensive and highly antibacterial magnetic nanocomposite composed of FeO nanoparticles synthesised from spent pickling liquors, coated with chitosan and then integrated with polyhexamethylene guanidine hydrochloride (FeO@CS@PHMG) using sodium tripolyphosphate (TPP) as a crosslinking agent. The obtained results revealed that the synthesised nanocomposite exhibited high antibacterial activity against and .

Background: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic autoimmune condition that damages the myelin sheath of neurons in the central nervous system, resulting in compromised nerve transmission and motor impairment. The astrocytopathy is considered one of the prominent etiological factor in the pathophysiology of demyelination in MS. The expression level of ceramide synthase-2 (CS-2) is yet to be established in the pathophysiology of astrocytopathy although the derailed ceramide biosynthetic pathways is well demonstrated in the pathophysiology of demyelination.
