Obesity epidemic, developed in recent decades with global dissemination, brings scientific interest in causes and consequences for mankind. It is of interest whether obesity existed under different, non-obesogenic environments in ancient time. There is evidence for particular obesity existence in artefacts and pictures from caves, originated in ancient times.

Context: Osteonecrosis (ON) is bone death caused by inadequate blood supply and its optimal management remains uncertain.
Objective: We describe the outcomes of BP (pamidronate) treatment in our patients.
Design: Data regarding clinical, laboratory, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies, and bone mineral density measurements (BMD) were recorded before and one year after treatment (reevaluation).

Background: In the context of modern oncology, radiogenic elements have emerged as pivotal tools for targeted cancer therapies. Elements like Iodine-131 and Yttrium-90 offer unique radiological properties that allow precise treatment delivery. This article explores their growing importance and potential in reshaping the landscape of cancer therapy.

Functional connectivity holds promise as a biomarker of schizophrenia. Yet, the high dimensionality of predictive models trained on functional connectomes, combined with small sample sizes in clinical research, increases the risk of overfitting. Recently, low-dimensional representations of the connectome such as macroscale cortical gradients and gradient dispersion have been proposed, with studies noting consistent gradient and dispersion differences in psychiatric conditions.

Deep multiple instance learning (MIL) pipelines are the mainstream weakly supervised learning methodologies for whole slide image (WSI) classification. However, it remains unclear how these widely used approaches compare to each other, given the recent proliferation of foundation models (FMs) for patch-level embedding and the diversity of slide-level aggregations. This paper implemented and systematically compared six FMs and six recent MIL methods by organizing different feature extractions and aggregations across seven clinically relevant end-to-end prediction tasks using WSIs from 4044 patients with four different cancer types.
