We describe two iOS apps designed to support blind travelers navigating in indoor building environments. The Wayfinding app provides guidance to a blind user while following a certain route. The Backtracking app records the route taken by the walker towards a certain destination, then provides guidance while re-tracing the same trajectory in the opposite direction.

Replication forks encounter various impediments, which induce fork stalling and threaten genome stability, yet the precise dynamics of fork stalling and restart at the single-cell level remain elusive. Herein, we devise a live-cell microscopy-based approach to follow hydroxyurea-induced fork stalling and subsequent restart at 30 s resolution. We measure two distinct processes during fork stalling.

Introduction: Using digital technology, respectively the use of intraoral scanners has increased exponentially in recent years. Intraoral scanners have gained traction and widespread use in the field of dental prosthetics and orthodontics. While the use of these digital devices enables the detection of visible areas of error in order to allow clinicians to correct those areas immediately without a need of restarting the entire process from the beginning as it should be done in the conventional method and subsequent procedures.

Quadratic forms with random kernel matrices are ubiquitous in applications of multivariate statistics, ranging from signal processing to time series analysis, biomedical systems design, wireless communications performance analysis, and other fields. Their statistical characterization is crucial to both design guideline formulation and efficient computation of performance indices. To this end, random matrix theory can be successfully exploited.
