Objectives: To understand the competitive position of the UK in comparison to Europe and the USA for haematological cancer clinical research.
Design: Using commercially available databases, clinical trial numbers, their effectiveness and publication outputs were evaluated in two analyses: a macrodevelopment and a research activity and performance analysis.
Data Sources: The following databases were used for this analysis: Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, Thomson Reuters Incidence and Prevalence, the Cortellis Clinical Trial Intelligence, the Clarivate Cortellis Innography Patent Intelligence, Thomson-Reuters Cortellis Regulatory Intelligence, Thomson Reuters Web of Science and data from the Centre for Medicine Research (CMR).

Background: School bullying remains a social problem and changing students' attitudes towards bullying is crucial for effective prevention in schools. Based on social-ecological system theory, this study examines how school climate influences anti-bullying attitudes among students. Specifically, it studies how a competitive school environment influences these attitudes, and how students' competitive attitudes mediate these attitudes.

Business climate measures regulations' impact on establishment, competition, and growth. In markets with high business climate levels, adopting new environmentally friendly and sustainable technologies and practices contributes to protecting the environment. The correct workability of concrete is an essential parameter for its placement and compaction. However, an absence of automatic and transparent measurement methods to estimate the workability of concrete hinders the adaptation from laborious traditional methods such as the slump test. In this paper, we developed a machine-learning framework for estimating the slump class of concrete in the mixer using a stereovision camera.
