Retinopathy, nephropathy, and neuropathy are the main manifestations of diabetic microangiopathy. These complications appear after a mean 5-year exposition to hyperglycaemia. They can be detected by very simple means. The health's stake is important because early treatment of these complications is efficient through the strict control of the hyperglycaemia/hypertension duo.
