We observe experimentally and numerically novel mixed-mode dynamic states of a diode laser subject to two delayed optical feedbacks. These states have been proposed and analyzed within the framework of the Lang-Kobayashi single-feedback model. Such states are combinations of two distinct external cavity modes and can be identified through a characteristic sequence of a Hopf bifurcation followed by a secondary quasi-periodic bifurcation. We present experimental and numerical results that demonstrate such sequences.

With the emergence of the Internet of Things (IoT), the demand on the wireless power supply to consumer electronics simultaneously requires much more location freedom, ease of use, and performance with wireless communications. In this paper, an unenclosed quasi-static cavity resonator (QSCR) constructed with metallic strips and the design method are proposed and theoretically analyzed. This unenclosed QSCR has a simple structure, which benefits the wireless charging for portable/wearable electronics and smart appliances in the office and home environment.

Corynosoma pseudohamanni Zdzitowiecki, 1984 (Polymorphidae) was described from the intestinal tract of 5 species of seals including the type and main host, the Weddell seal Leptonycotes weddellii (Lesson) in the South Shetlands, West Antarctica. Notothenia coriiceps was the primary paratenic host of 14 fish hosts reported in the original description. We describe excysted juveniles from the body cavity of the major paratenic host, Notothenia coriiceps Richardson collected off Galindez Island, Argentine Islands, West Antarctica for the first time.
