Neuroimaging is an essential tool for the diagnosis of cognitive brain disorders along with the EEG measurements. EEG and fMRI are the two crucial modalities which reflect the functional activity inside the brain. EEG is easy to apply and provides high temporal resolution but has poor spatial resolution. Contrarily, fMRI has a higher spatial resolution while having a poor temporal resolution. In this study, multi modal data sets obtained from Event Related fMRI and EEG measurements are analyzed using SPM and LORETA based dipole source reconstruction techniques, respectively. It has been demonstrated that the generator of N170 component of ERP which is located at superior temporal region is in agreement with the SPM results of fMRI. The results imply that the joint use of fMRI and ERP data helps identifying the physiological and hemodynamic correlates of face recognition by estimating the underlying functional activity in a fine temporal and spatial resolution.

Cells under high confinement form highly polarized hydrostatic pressure-driven, stable leader blebs that enable efficient migration in low adhesion, environments. Here we investigated the basis of the polarized bleb morphology of metastatic melanoma cells migrating in non-adhesive confinement. Using high-resolution time-lapse imaging and specific molecular perturbations, we found that EGF signaling via PI3K stabilizes and maintains a polarized leader bleb.

The highest resolution vEM technique is focused ion-beam scanning electron microscopy (FIB-SEM), which provides nearly isotropic (~5-10 nm) spatial resolution at fluences of > 10,000 e /nm . However, it is not clear how such high resolution is achievable because serial block-face (SBF) SEM, which incorporates an in-situ ultramicrotome instead of a Ga FIB beam, results in radiation-induced collapse of similar specimen blocks at fluences of only ~20 e /nm .

Despite the clinical significance, there is a lack of effective therapies for intercepting the progression of preinvasive to invasive adenocarcinoma. To uncover determinants of early disease emergence and progression, we used integrated single-cell approaches, including scRNA-seq, multiplexed imaging mass cytometry and spatial transcriptomics, to construct the first high-resolution map of the composition, lineage/functional states, developmental trajectories and multicellular crosstalk networks from microdissected non-solid (preinvasive) and solid compartments (invasive) of individual part-solid nodules.

Mitochondrial cristae, formed by folding the mitochondrial inner membrane (IM), are essential for cellular energy supply. However, the observation of the IM is challenging due to the limitations in spatiotemporal resolution offered by conventional microscopy and the absence of suitable in vitro probes specifically targeting the IM. Here, we describe a detailed imaging protocol for the mitochondrial inner membrane using the Si-rhodamine dye HBmito Crimson, which has excellent photophysical properties, to label live cells for imaging via stimulated emission depletion (STED) microscopy.

Due to PET's low spatial resolution, image noise, and spill-over of signal from adjacent white-matter into gray-matter, there are inconsistencies in ratings among trained readers. A set of 264 F-Florbetaben (amyloid) PET/MRI exams were reconstructed using conventional ordered subset expectation maximization (OSEM) method and MR-guided block sequential regularized expectation maximization (MRgBSREM) method.
