Objective: To systematically compare the benefits and risks of all thrombolytic agents (tenecteplase, reteplase, and alteplase) at different doses for thrombolytic therapy in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS).

Background: Alteplase is the cornerstone treatment for AIS, but alternative thrombolytic agents are needed. The efficacy and safety of tenecteplase and reteplase, compared to alteplase, remain unclear, as does the optimal dosing for these treatments.

Administration of anticoagulation strategies for portal vein thrombosis in cirrhosis: network meta-analysis.

Front Pharmacol

January 2025

Center for Evidence-Based Medicine and Clinical Research, Taihe Hospital, Hubei University of Medicine, Shiyan, Hubei, China.

Objectives: Evidences for anticoagulation strategies in cirrhotic with portal vein thrombosis (PVT) are still insufficient. This study aims to comprehensively compare the therapeutic effects of different therapeutic therapeutic measures in individuals suffering from cirrhosis with PVT, with the ultimate goal of providing evidence-based recommendations for thrombolytic therapy in this population.

Methods: Starting from 20 October 2023, a comprehensive search about therapeutic strategies for portal vein thrombosis in cirrhosis was conducted on PubMed, EMBASE, and Cochrane Library.

Background: Hemorrhagic transformation (HT) is a complication of reperfusion therapy following acute ischemic stroke (AIS). We aimed to develop and validate a model for predicting HT and its subtypes with poor prognosis-parenchymal hemorrhage (PH), including PH-1 (hematoma within infarcted tissue, occupying < 30%) and PH-2 (hematoma occupying ≥ 30% of the infarcted tissue)-in AIS patients following intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) based on noncontrast computed tomography (NCCT) and clinical data.

Methods: In this six-center retrospective study, clinical and imaging data from 445 consecutive IVT-treated AIS patients were collected (01/2018-06/2023).

Objectives: To investigate the safety and efficacy outcomes of intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) in patients aged >80 years with acute ischaemic stroke (AIS) after IVT was approved in this patient population in several European and non-European countries during 2018-2019.

Design: This is an observational registry study using prospectively collected data from the Safe Implementation of Treatment in Stroke (SITS) registry. Comparisons will be performed between patients treated post-approval (July 2018 to December 2021) period with those treated pre-approval (June 2015 to June 2018) period using propensity score matching (PSM).

Comparison of the safety and efficacy of dual antiplatelet therapy versus tenecteplase in patients with minor nondisabling acute ischemic stroke.

Sci Rep

January 2025

Center for Rehabilitation Medicine, Department of Neurology, Zhejiang Provincial People's Hospital (Affiliated People's Hospital), Hangzhou Medical College, Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China.

To evaluate the safety and efficacy of dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) versus tenecteplase in minor non-disabling acute ischemic stroke. This retrospective observational study utilized data from our stroke database. All consecutive patients with minor non-disabling acute ischemic stroke treated with either DAPT or tenecteplase between January 2020 and June 2023 were included in the analysis.
