Chemical analysis of the secondary metabolite pattern of the sacoglossan mollusc Elysia cf. expansa, collected along South Indian coasts, showed the presence of the typical Caulerpa-derived sesquiterpene caulerpenyne (1) and two new minor co- occurring metabolites, the compounds dihydrocaulerpenyne (4) and expansinol (5). The chemical characterization of these molecules, structurally related to 1, is reported.

This work investigates the adhesive property of Soy Protein Isolate(SPI)polymer solution by studying mechanical properties of composites formed using waste wood granules and SPI solutions. To improve the adhesive strength of SPI solution, Carboxymethyl Cellulose Sodium(NaCMC)was mixed (in the weight ratios of 9:1 and 8:2) due to its strong gel formation capabilities. The adhesive performance of these composites was further investigated in the presence and absence of non-toxic additives, including sorbitol (SOR) and stearic acid (SA).

Gestational Weight Gain (GWG) modulates pregnancy outcomes and long-term offspring metabolic health. The 2009 Institute of Medicine (IOM) GWG recommendations have largely been validated in Caucasian and mono-ethnic East Asian cohorts. Asians are at higher metabolic risk at a lower body mass index (BMI), and this has prompted the World Health Organization (WHO) to identify lower BMI cut-offs for risk evaluation amongst Asians.

Dispensing of misoprostol and mifepristone by pharmacies and chemist shops for self-management of medication abortion (MA) fills a crucial gap in settings where abortion care by trained health professionals is not readily available. This promising service delivery pathway, endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO), is hindered by concerns of poor-quality care. Simulated clients collected data on MA pill dispensing practices from 92 pharmacies and chemist shops in three Nigerian states and 127 pharmacies in an Indian state that we have anonymized.
