Implantation of resynchronization implantable cardioverter defibrillator was performed in a patient with persistent left superior vena cava. A dual coil defibrillation lead was inserted in the right ventricle apex via a small innominate vein. Left ventricular and atrial leads were implanted through persistent left superior vena cava. Left ventricular lead was easily implanted into the postero lateral vein. Pacing thresholds and sensing values were excellent and remained stable at 18 months follow-up.Presence of persistent left superior vena cava generally makes transvenous lead implantation difficult. However when a favorable coronary sinus anatomy is also present, it may facilitate left ventricular lead positioning in the coronary sinus branches.

Purpose: This study explores the effects of anthracycline chemotherapy (AC) on breast cancer patients, focusing on changes in body composition, advanced echocardiographic parameters at rest and during exercise, and biomarkers; and subsequently assesses whether these parameters are associated with impaired cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF).
Methods: In this prospective study, we evaluated women with early-stage breast cancer undergoing AC at three visits: before AC, 1 month after, and 6 months post-AC.
Results: The study included 32 women with breast cancer, with functional disability increasing from 9.

Objectives: The impact of long-term complications after robotic hybrid coronary revascularization (HCR), including persistent angina, repeat revascularization, and myocardial infarction (MI), remains limited. This study aims to determine the risk factors for coronary events after robotic HCR and their time-varying effects on outcomes.
Methods: We identified all consecutive patients who underwent robotic HCR at our institution.

We report a case of persistent consciousness disturbance due to non-convulsive status epilepticus (NCSE) following a successful mechanical thrombectomy (MT). A 98-year-old female with atrial fibrillation presented with impaired consciousness and right hemiparesis 6 hrs after her last known well state. Magnetic resonance angiography revealed occlusion of the left internal carotid artery, necessitating MT to achieve complete recanalisation.

Persistent primitive olfactory arteries (PPOAs) are a rare variant of the anterior cerebral artery (ACA). Cerebral aneurysms may arise in the PPOA; most are saccular and on the unilateral PPOA. We report a 66-year-old male with bilateral PPOAs and a fusiform aneurysm on the left side detected at a health check-up.

Traditionally, patients with rheumatic diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA), were considered off-limits for joint-sparing surgery. In the present study, we report bilateral knee joints of psoriatic arthritis coexisting with osteoarthritis, with good, albeit short-term, results. 62-year-old woman was treated for psoriatic arthritis with a biologic (adalimumab).
