Objective: The abdominal and retroperitoneal lymphatic system is characterized by numerous anatomic variations. Our objective is to review MR lymphographic features of normal anatomy and abnormal conditions.
Conclusion: MR lymphography is a noninvasive technique that is well suited for the examination of abdominal and retroperitoneal lymphatic vessels.

Retroperitoneal lymphangioma is exceptionally rare. We present a case of a 41-year-old asymptomatic patient with a large abdominal cystic mass detected on contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) scan, initially suspected to be pseudomyxoma peritonei. An elevated prepartum BCS is a risk factor for postpartum hyperketonemia (HYK) and elevated nonesterified fatty acid (NEFA) concentrations in dairy cattle. The association between different adipose tissue depots, such as subcutaneous (SCAT) as well as visceral adipose tissue (VAT) depots, and HYK and elevated NEFA concentrations remains unknown. This case report describes a 66-year-old male diagnosed with a giant retroperitoneal lymphangioma, presenting with an abdominal mass confirmed via magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Laparoscopic surgery was successfully performed to excise the mass, with histopathological examination confirming the diagnosis. The patient's postoperative recovery was uneventful, with no signs of recurrence or metastasis observed at the three-month follow-up.
