The authors relate a case of cutaneous cover of the ankle and the right foot on a leg with precarious vascularization by the inner flap of the thigh with a serious burnt person the left leg amputated. The flap, which has been autonomized first before being set apart, got a well development and allowed to cover the ankle and the foot. It is a flap which deserve to be used and can count among the cover means of the ankle and the foot and even to constitute an alternative to the use of classical flaps (sural and supramalleolar flaps) in case of vascular risk.

Lateral ankle soft tissue defects pose challenges, especially in cases due to chronic pressure from cross-legged sitting, which usually present with a large dead space, small skin opening that often accompanies an open joint. Traditional reconstruction methods using fasciocutaneous flaps may result in donor site morbidity such as delayed wound healing or nerve injury. In this article, we present a case of diabetes-related lateral ankle defect successfully treated using adiposal layer only flap, also known as pure fat flap.

Background: Posterior tibialis tendon dysfunction (PTTD) is a debilitating condition that leads to biomechanical changes, for which foot orthoses are often prescribed to attenuate. There is a need to improve the ability to predict these biomechanical alterations, determine the biomechanical effectiveness of foot orthoses, and anticipate their effects on individuals with PTTD during gait.
Research Question: Is the supination resistance test (SRT) reliable, and capable of predicting foot and ankle biomechanics, as well as the biomechanical effects of foot orthoses in individuals with PTTD during gait?
Methods: Twenty-one individuals with PTTD participated with supination resistance measured over two sessions.

Background: Isolated posterior malleolar (PM) fractures are rare fractures without consensus regarding treatment decisions and functional outcomes. The study aims to compare the clinical and radiological results of patients treated surgically or conservatively for isolated PM fractures.
Methods: The study included 30 patients who presented with an isolated PM fracture and were treated conservatively (n = 15) or with surgery (n = 15).

Background And Purpose: Numerous studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of Chinese medicine injections (CMIs) in treating diabetic lower extremity arterial disease (Dia-LEAD). However, with the variety of CMIs available, it has become challenging to determine the optimal choice for Dia-LEAD patients. This study aims to compare and rank the efficacy of CMIs for Dia-LEAD to provide references and evidence for clinicians in optimising drug selection.

Active ankle orthoses which have been designed over the past few years by diverse sources were critically reviewed in this paper. It begins by providing an overview of the anatomy of the ankle joint complex, establishing a basis for understanding the subsequent discussion on the research challenges and design difficulties associated with developing active ankle orthosis devices. The review systematically examined the mechanisms, actuation methods, and control strategies utilized in these orthosis devices.
