Rapid advances in 18FDG-PET/CT technology and novel co-registration algorithms have created a strong interest in 18FDG-PET/CT's application in intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT). Accurate target volume delineation, particularly identification of pathologically positive lymph nodes, could translate into favorable treatment outcome. However, gross tumor volume (GTV) delineation on both CT and 18FDG-PET is very sensitive to observer variation. The objectives of the study were to investigate the inter-modality variation in gross tumor volume delineation defined by two imaging modalities for lung cancer: CT and 18FDG-PET/CT and its dosimetric implications in intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT).

Background: Supratentorial function-eloquent brain tumour surgeries challenge the balance between maximal tumour resection and preservation of neurological function. This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of preoperative and intraoperative mapping techniques on resection outcomes and post-operative deficits.
Methods: This systematic review and meta-analysis examined literature up to March 2023, sourced from PubMed, Embase, and Medline.

Dysprosody affects rhythm and intonation in speech, resulting in the impairment of emotional or attitude expression, and usually presents as a negative symptom resulting in a monotonous tone. We herein report a rare case of recurrent glioblastoma (GBM) with dysprosody featuring sing-song speech. A 68-year-old man, formerly left-handed, with right temporal GBM underwent gross total resection.

To improve the understanding and treatment level of urogenital nerve fibroma by sharing the clinical manifestations, imaging features, and pathological characteristics of a case of urogenital nerve fibroma. The patient was a middle-aged male with initial symptoms of painless gross hematuria, bladder irritation, and pelvic mass. Imaging examination showed a bladder mass, and transurethral bladder tumor resection was performed to reduce the tumor.

Background And Purpose: Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) has been proposed to guide the anisotropic expansion from gross tumor volume to clinical target volume (CTV), aiming to integrate known tumor spread patterns into the CTV. This study investigate the potential of using a DTI atlas as an alternative to patient-specific DTI for generating anisotropic CTVs.
Materials And Methods: The dataset consisted of twenty-eight newly diagnosed glioblastoma patients from a Danish national DTI protocol with post-operative T1-contrast and DTI imaging.

Background: Human papillomavirus (HPV) negative oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) is associated with worse survival when compared to HPV-positive OPSCC. Primary surgery is one option to intensify therapy in this high-risk group of patients. Unfortunately, the only randomized trial to explore this approach (RTOG 1221) failed to accrue and the role of primary surgery in the treatment of HPV-negative OPSCC remains unanswered.
