Objective: Blood group analysis is a basic immunohematological test. It should be noted that A, B, O and AB have various subgroups. Here, the authors used the advanced nanomedicine technique for modification of the basic blood group test for detection of weak B subgroup. Of interest, it can be seen that gold nanoparticle can help increase the agglutination reaction.

Study Design: The preparation of gold nanoparticle solution in this study was according to the standard method reported by Frenkel et al. The author performed an experiment on several conditions on weak B3 blood group sample, Anti B and gold nanoparticle solution.

Results: In this study, the author found that more agglutination can be detected in the system of antigen, antibody and gold nanoparticle than in the system of only system of antigen and antibody.

Conclusion: This application can help diagnosis of weak blood group and can be the alternative way for the blood group test. This is the first world report on this application.

Deep venous thrombosis (DVT) has insidious clinical symptoms, and only a few patients suffer from lower limb swelling, tenderness and dorsal flexion pain. We aimed to explore the ultrasonographic features and risk factors of postoperative lower limb DVT in patients with lower limb fractures. Ninety patients with lower limb fractures admitted from January 1st, 2021 to June 30th, 2023 were selected.

Approximately one in every 800 children is born with the severe aneuploid condition of Down Syndrome, a trisomy of chromosome 21. Low blood pressure (hypotension) is a common condition associated with DS and can have a significant impact on exercise tolerance and quality of life. Little is known about the factors driving this hypotensive phenotype and therefore therapeutic interventions are limited.

Background: This study tested the hypothesis that extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ECSWT) effectively rescues critical limb ischemia (CLI) in mice through the upregulation of GPR120, which protects against inflammation and angiogenesis to restore blood flow in the ischemic area.

Methods And Results: Compared with the control, ECSWT-induced GPR120-mediated anti-inflammatory effects significantly suppressed the expression of inflammatory signaling biomarkers (TAK1/MAPK family/NF-κB/IL-1β/IL-6/TNF-α/MCP-1) in HUVECs, and these effects were abolished by silencing GPR120 or by the GPR120 antagonist AH7614 (all P < 0.001).

Sheeppox and Goatpox are highly contagious transboundary viral diseases of sheep and goats caused by Capripoxvirus, respectively. This study describes the development of indirect ELISA and its serodiagnostic potential as an alternative to the gold standard serum neutralization test (SNT). The homologue of vaccinia virus, ORF 117 (A27L) gene of the Romanian Fenner (RF) strain of Sheeppox virus (SPPV) was used for producing the full-length recombinant A27L (rA27L) protein (∼22 kDa) in a prokaryotic expression system.
