Objective: To evaluate the vascularized (deep circumflex iliac vessels) iliac crest graft with internal oblique muscle as a method for reconstruction of composite mandibular defect.
Methods: Vascularized iliac crest graft with internal oblique muscle was used to reconstruct the composite mandibular defects in 10 patients. All clinical data were analyzed retrospectively. A detailed inspection of the case-notes was undertaken to ascertain the presenting diagnosis, the surgery, the complications and the outcome. The type of mandibular defect was recorded.
Results: Of the 10 patients with composite mandibular defects including mandibular body, mandibular angle, mandibular ramus and the soft tissue around them, 7 patients were recorded with the defects of mandibular condyles. During the follow-up period from 3 months to 24 months, primary wound healing was observed in all patients, except one patient with minor muscular necrosis. All patients were satisfied with their facial contour and mandibular shape, without tumor recurrence. Donor site problems important enough to be recorded in the notes were minimal.
Conclusions: The vascularized iliac crest graft with internal oblique muscle offers a useful solution for reconstruction of composite mandibular defect. There is sufficient height and depth of bone to maintain a facial contour and mandibular shape. It can be used as a routine surgical technique to reconstruct composite mandibular defect.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to compare the wear and fracture resistance of single crowns produced from newly developed 3D printer resins used to produce permanent crowns and currently used composite CAD/CAM discs, after being thermomechanically aged in a chewing simulator.
Materials And Methods: A total of 112 stainless steel die models simulating mandibular left first molars were produced, 8 for each group. Single crowns were produced from 3 different discs (Grandio Voco [GR], breCAM HIPC [HC], and Shofu HC [SF]) by CAD/CAM milling method and manufactured from from 4 different permanent composite resins (Nexdent C&B MFH [ND], Permanent Bridge Saremco [PB], VarseoSmile Crownplus [VSC], and Şenertek P-Crown [PC]) using the 3D printing method.

Objective: To investigate the effect of cervical margin relocation with four different injectable restorative materials on the fracture resistance of molars receiving mesio-occluso-distal CAD/CAM nanoceramic onlay restorations.
Materials And Methods: One hundred and five sound mandibular molars received a standardized mesio-occluso-distal onlay preparation, with cervical margins located 2 mm apical to the cemento-enamel junction. The molars were randomly allocated into five groups (n = 21) according to the cervical relocating materials used: Group I had no cervical margin relocation; Group II used a highly viscous glass ionomer; Group III used a highly-filled injectable resin composite; Group IV used a resin-modified glass ionomer; and Group V used a bioactive ionic resin.

Ankyloglossia is a congenital, abnormally short, thickened, or tight lingual frenulum that restricts tongue mobility, which may impair the development of the lower face morphology, namely the occlusion and skeleton. The aim of this study was to evaluate whether and how the lingual frenotomy benefits the occlusion and lower face skeleton development. The authors, independently and in duplication, performed searches of PubMed, Cochrane Library, Medline, Web of Science, and Embase, introducing the following keywords: tongue tie, ankyloglossia, and short lingual frenum/frenulum, combined with malocclusion, lower face skeleton, and hyoid bone.
