Objective: The study aimed to investigate the causal relationship between serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) levels and epilepsy using Mendelian randomization (MR), thereby addressing confounding and reverse causality issues in observational studies.
Methods: We employed a two-sample bidirectional MR design utilizing summary-level data from the IEU OpenGWAS project. Serum 25(OH)D levels were analyzed using the publicly available dataset ebi-a-GCST90000618, which included 496,946 European samples and 68,960,93 SNPs.

The mungbean yellow mosaic India virus (MYMIV, Begomovirus vignaradiataindiaense) causes Yellow Mosaic Disease (YMD) in mungbean (Vigna radiata L.). The biochemical assays including total phenol content (TPC), total flavonoid content (TFC), ascorbic acid (AA), DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl), and FRAP (Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power) were used to study the mungbean plants defense response to MYMIV infection.

Background: This study delves into the complex interplay between genetics, 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25OHD), and schizophrenia (SCZ). It leverages extensive sample data derived from Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS) to uncover genetic correlations.
Methods: Employing Linkage Disequilibrium Score Regression (LDSC) and S-LDSC, this study investigates genetic connections between 25OHD and SCZ.

Polymorphisms in the vitamin D receptor (VDR) gene (BsmI (rs1544410), FokI (rs2228570), ApaI (rs7975232), TaqI (rs731236)) and low vitamin D concentrations have previously been associated with type 1 diabetes (T1D). Vitamin D is thought to mediate the switch from a pro-inflammatory Th1 response to an anti-inflammatory Th2 response which is protective against the development of T1D. These associations are inconsistent across studies and population groups.

Objective: Epidemiological evidence indicates that trace elements are significantly associated with cardiovascular health. However, its causality and underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the causal relationship between trace elements and cardiovascular disease, as well as their potential mechanism of action.
