CKD is a heterogeneous entity with varied aetiologies and diverse trajectories, which include risk of kidney failure but also cardiovascular events and death. There is an urgent need for mechanistically novel and more efficacious treatments for schizophrenia, especially those targeting negative and cognitive symptoms with a more favorable side-effect profile. Drug repurposing-the process of identifying new therapeutic uses for already approved compounds-offers a promising approach to overcoming the lengthy, costly, and high-risk process of traditional CNS drug discovery. This review aims to update our previous findings on the clinical drug repurposing pipeline in schizophrenia.

The evolution of radiation therapy in Uganda has been a journey marked by significant milestones and persistent challenges. Since the inception of radiotherapy services in 1988-1989, there has been a concerted effort to enhance cancer treatment services. The early years were characterized by foundational developments, such as the installation of the first teletherapy units, low-dose-rate brachytherapy units, and conventional simulators, and the recognition of radiation oncologists and medical physicist professionals laid the groundwork for radiotherapy treatment modalities.

Objective: To report the annual and age-specific incidence of ANCA associated vasculitis and polyarteritis nodosa in the adult population of Norfolk County, UK.
Methods: Individuals newly diagnosed with ANCA associated vasculitis or polyarteritis nodosa between 1st Jan 2011 and 31st December 2020, residing in the postal areas of NR1-NR30 were included. Patients were classified according to the European Medicines Agency algorithm.
