Objective: to analyze the perception of people with mental disorders in relation to social support from religion and from health professionals.
Method: qualitative, descriptive-exploratory study, carried out with seven members of a Christian religious institution, adults and medically diagnosed with mental disorders. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, between May and August 2021.

Background: Human body odors (BOs) serve as an effective means of social communication, with individuals exposed to emotional BOs experiencing a partial replication of the sender's affective state. This phenomenon may be particularly relevant in conditions where social interactions are impaired, such as social anxiety. Our study aimed to investigate if emotional human BOs could augment the benefits of mindfulness-based interventions.

Background: Detecting peripheral neuropathy (PNP) is crucial in preventing complications such as foot ulceration. Clinical examinations for PNP are infrequently provided to patients at high risk due to restrictions on facilities, care providers, or time. A gamified health assessment approach combining wearable sensors holds the potential to address these challenges and provide individuals with instantaneous feedback on their health status.

Pathogenic variants in the IRF2BPL gene are associated with neurodevelopmental disorders with varying degrees of regression, loss of speech and epilepsy. The phenotype is also known as Neurodevelopmental Disorder with regression, Abnormal Movements, loss of Speech, and Seizures (NEDAMSS). The motor symptoms of this disorder share significant phenotypical characteristics with catatonia, a severe neuropsychiatric psychomotor syndrome.
