In this paper, we consider the spatiotemporal dynamics in a ring of N mutually coupled self-sustained oscillators in the regular state. When there are no parameter mismatches, the good coupling parameters leading to full, partial, and no synchronization are derived using the properties of the variational equations of stability. The effects of the spatial dimension of the ring on the stability boundaries of the synchronized states are performed. Numerical simulations validate and complement the results of analytical investigations. The influences of coupling parameter mismatch on the forecasted stability boundaries are also highlighted.

This study focuses on the Jinghe River Basin (JRB) in the central Loess Plateau, aiming to investigate the changes in supply and demand of ecosystem water yield services and analyze factors affecting the water supply-demand relationship during the vegetation restoration, using the InVEST model, scenario analysis, and the Geodetector.

In recent decades, global climate change and rapid urbanization have aggravated the urban heat island (UHI) effect, affecting the well-being of urban citizens. Although this significant phenomenon is more pronounced in larger metropolitan areas due to extensive impervious surfaces, small- and medium-sized cities also experience UHI effects, yet research on UHI in these cities is rare, emphasizing the importance of land surface temperature (LST) as a key parameter for studying UHI dynamics. Therefore, this paper focuses on the evaluation of LST and land cover (LC) changes in the city of Prešov, Slovakia, a typical medium-sized European city that has recently undergone significant LC changes.

Cycling through four or more states can provide specific dynamics, such as the spatial coexistence of multiple phases.
