Background: Visual assessment of coronary CT angiography (CCTA) is time-consuming, influenced by reader experience and prone to interobserver variability. This study evaluated a novel algorithm for coronary stenosis quantification (atherosclerosis imaging quantitative CT, AI-QCT).
Methods: The study included 208 patients with suspected coronary artery disease (CAD) undergoing CCTA in Perfusion Imaging and CT Coronary Angiography With Invasive Coronary Angiography-1.

Background: The majority of functional ischemia tests in patients with suspected chronic coronary syndromes (CCS) yield normal results. Implementing gatekeepers for patient preselection, such as pretest probability (PTP) and/or coronary artery calcium score (CACS), could reduce the number of normal scan results, radiation exposure and costs. However, the efficacy and safety of these approaches remain unclear.

Aim: To assess transmural remission in patients with Crohn's disease using low-dose small bowel computed tomography (CT) perfusion scans.
Materials And Methods: Forty six patients were divided into active and remission phases based on Crohn's Disease Activity Index (CDAI) and C-reactive protein (CRP). Dual-source CT enterography with low-dose perfusion scans was conducted to generate perfusion parameter maps, including blood flow (BF), blood volume (BV), time to peak (TTP), mean transit time (MTT), and permeability of surface (PS).

Background: Primary blast lung injury is a common and severe consequence of explosion events, characterized by immediate and delayed effects such as apnea and rapid shallow breathing. The overpressure generated by blasts leads to alveolar and capillary damage, resulting in ventilation-perfusion mismatch and increased intrapulmonary shunting. This reduces the effective gas exchange area, causing hypoxemia and hypercapnia.

Confocal imaging is a powerful tool capable of analyzing cellular spatial data within a given tissue. Here, we present a protocol for preparing optically cleared extensor digitorum longus (EDL) skeletal muscle samples suitable for confocal imaging/computational analysis. We describe steps for sample preparation (including perfusion fixation and tissue clearing of muscle samples), image acquisition, and computational analysis, with sample segmentation/3D rendering outlined.
