Mobile aortic thrombosis is a relatively rare condition with a high morbidity particularly due to peripheral embolisation. The most frequent management is anticoagulant or surgical therapy but the number of cases reported is limited and therapeutic approaches are still not well established. We present a case of large multiple mobile pedunculated thrombosis in descending aorta treated by thrombolysis.

Background: As a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily, tumor necrosis factor superfamily member 4 (TNFSF4) is expressed on antigen-presenting cells and activated T cells by binding to its receptor TNFRSF4. However, tumorigenicity of TNFSF4 has not been studied in pan-cancer. Therefore, comprehensive bioinformatics analysis of pan-cancer was performed to determine the mechanisms through which TNFSF4 regulates tumorigenesis.

A 71-year-old woman with dilated cardiomyopathy underwent an echocardiogram showing new onset of multiple mobile left ventricular masses. She experienced a mild COVID-19 infection 1 month before. After a multimodality imaging evaluation, vitamin K antagonist treatment was started, with progressive reduction of the masses without clinical events.

A 77-year-old man with multiple comorbidities presented with cough, dyspnea and nonspecific malaise. Chest computed tomography revealed a mass in the right lower lobe of the lung, along with an associated hypodense lesion in the left atrium. Echocardiography showed a mobile mass in the left atrium, initially suspected to be a thrombus.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to establish an ultra-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) method for the detection of osimertinib in rat plasma, lung and brain tissues.
Methods: Forty-eight rats were randomly divided into an experimental group (receiving osimertinib at doses of 5, 8, and 10 mg/kg) and a control group. After continuous intragastric administration for 15 days, samples of blood, lung, and brain tissue were collected.

Amino acid racemases catalyze the interconversion of L- and D-amino acids, maintaining intracellular levels of both D- and L-amino acids. While alanine and glutamate racemases are widespread in bacteria, serine racemase (SerR) is predominantly found in animals. Recently, homologs of animal SerR were reported in some bacterial genomes, but their evolutionary distribution and functional roles remain poorly understood.
