Distal femoral focal deficiency is an extremely rare type of congenital femoral deficiency that comprises hypoplasia of the distal femur, with a normally developed hip. We represent a unique case of distal femoral hypoplasia and deficiency of knee extensors, childhood follow-up and final treatment with exarticulation, and a comparison with previous literature.

Introduction: Combined limb-sparing surgery and radiation therapy are considered the standard of care for higher grade soft tissue sarcomas (STS) of the extremities. The risk of post-radiation fracture after this treatment modality is well known, but still underestimated, and can end in serious long-term secondary problems years later.
Presentation Of Case: We reviewed the records of three patients with pathological femur fractures years after wide local excision of an STS of the proximal lower extremity.

Described in the article is a clinical case report regarding revascularization of the entire arterial bed of the lower extremity in a male patient presenting with multifocal atherosclerosis, stenoses of the arteries of the iliofemoral segment, occlusions of the superficial femoral artery, popliteal artery and arteries of the crus. Clinically, the patient was diagnosed as having critical ischaemia of the lower limb with wet necrosis of the toes. The patient simultaneously underwent semiclosed loop endarterectomy from the arteries of the femoropopliteal segment with the help of the Vollmar rings, autovenous popliteal-tibial prosthetic repair, as well as exarticulation of the toes.
