Empathy for social pain encompasses both affective and cognitive responses to others' emotional reactions following negative social encounters, facilitating an understanding of their suffering and promoting prosocial behaviors. This study examined how a scarcity mindset affects empathy for social pain and prosocial intentions at behavioral and neural levels. Sixty participants were randomly assigned to either the scarcity or abundance mindset group.

Purpose: The range of impairments in children with neurodisability (ND) complicates data collection, yet individualising materials and procedures could enable more children to self-report. This study introduces the Cognitive Accessibility Tracking Questionnaire (CATQ), designed to monitor changes enhancing accessibility ("adaptations") in interview-administered patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs). The CATQ is used in a longitudinal study of mental health and participation in children with ND investigating adaptation use and its utility in assessing the risk of bias introduced by these adaptations.

This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of psychological interventions compared to standard rehabilitation in patients with knee osteoarthritis (OA). Given the recognized influence of psychological factors in OA management, the review assessed their impact on pain, functional disability, and self-efficacy. A comprehensive search was performed across multiple databases, including PubMed, PsycINFO, CINAHL, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Web of Science, OpenGrey, and ClinicalTrials.
