Inflammatory diseases of the central nervous system are often challenging to diagnose. Necrotizing meningoencephalitis, necrotizing leukoencephalitis, and granulomatous meningoencephalomyelitis have characteristic locations of lesions on histopathologic examination and, therefore, characteristic findings from advanced imaging. Together with clinical signs and clinicopathologic data, these characteristic imaging findings may aid in establishing an accurate antemortem diagnosis. Prompt diagnosis can lead to initiation of treatment using a combination of immunosuppressive drugs.

Postpartum anxiety leads to significant problems in both mother and child, such as maternal depression, difficulty breastfeeding, interference with parent-infant bonding, and childhood anxiety. Backgroud: Salivary duct carcinoma (SDC) is a rare and aggressive malignancy with a generally dismal prognosis and no standard of care established, despite a known association with epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) and androgen receptor (AR) over-expression.
Case: We report the case of a 64-year-old female with extra- and intracranial metastases of SDC with evidence of AR and HER2 overexpression. After progression on first line chemotherapy, was administered neratinib, a pan-Erb2 receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor.

Mycotoxins are potential environmental risk factors for neurodegenerative diseases. These toxins penetrate the central nervous system via a compromised blood-brain barrier, which may cause oxidative stress and neuroinflammation, these can also contribute to amyloid-beta (Aβ) plaque accumulation, Tau protein hyperphosphorylation, and neurofibrillary tangle formation. Mycotoxins also activate microglia, cause neuronal apoptosis, and disrupt central nervous system function.
