Background: The Prostate Imaging-Reporting and Data System (PI-RADS) calls for reporting the prostate index lesion and the location within the transition (TZ) or peripheral zone (PZ) and location on a corresponding sector map. The aim of this study was to train a deep learning DL-based algorithm for automatic prostate sector mapping and to validate its' performance.

Methods: An automatic 24-sector grid-map (ASG) of the prostate was developed, based on an automatic zone-specific deep learning segmentation of the prostate.

People in informal urban settlements in Kenya face multiple inequalities, yet researchers investigate issues such as HIV or intimate partner violence (IPV) in isolation, targeting single populations and focusing on individual behaviour, without involving informal settlement dwellers. We formed a study team of researchers (n = 4) and lay investigators (n = 11) from an informal settlement in Nairobi, Kenya to understand the power dynamics in the informal urban settlement that influence vulnerability to IPV and HIV among women and men from key populations in this context. We facilitated participatory workshops with 56 women and 32 men from different marginalised groups and interviewed 10 key informants.

Long-Term Care and the State-Family Nexus in Italy and Japan-The Welfare State, Care Policy and Family Caregivers.

Int J Environ Res Public Health

Department of Economics, Ohtsuki City College, Ohtsuki City, Yamanashi 401-0012, Japan.

This study aims to identify the state-family nexus in long-term care (LTC) provision for older adults in Italy and Japan which have been considered to be a familialistic welfare state and the most ageing societies in the world. Based on the more developed theoretical approach of the familialism-defamilialization continuum of care, represented by Saraceno (2016), the public policy systems as well as the LTC provision and the work-LTC reconciliation of family caregivers in particular, were compared between Italy and Japan. While both countries have lower level of institutional care, and particularly high proportions of family caregivers with relatively heavy care burdens, the share of cash-based and home care as well as the age range and family relationship of family caregivers significantly differ.
