Background: The Tenderloin Center (TLC), a multi-service center where people could receive or be connected to basic needs, behavioral health care, housing, and medical services, was open in San Francisco for 46 weeks in 2022. Within a week of operation, services expanded to include an overdose prevention site (OPS), also known as safe consumption site. OPSs have operated internationally for over three decades, but government-sanctioned OPSs have only recently been implemented in the United States.

Efforts to make ecological sciences more diverse, equitable, and inclusive require us to identify who is being left out and take action to rectify harmful situations. Recruitment of trainees from underrepresented groups alone is insufficient without ensuring a safe and supportive environment where we can flourish. Fieldwork is a critical component and often a requirement for career advancement in ecological sciences, but for transgender and gender non-conforming (TGnC) individuals, it can be disproportionately harmful.

This research undertakes a systematic review of cases cleared using forensic genetic genealogy (FGG) and has produced a dataset and annotated bibliography that can be used for further research. Data was collected to better understand the impact of FGG on a number of metrics relating to substantive, procedural, and distributive justice. FGG has been used primarily to clear cases involving serial and sexual violence against female and vulnerable victims, and in cases involving stranger victimization - cases that have traditionally been more difficult to clear.

Purpose: In 2017, Veterans Health Administration (VA) launched a social marketing and training campaign to address harassment of women veterans at VA health care facilities. We assessed women veterans' experiences of harassment, reported perpetrators of harassment, and perceptions of VA in 2017 (before campaign launch) and 2018 (1 year after campaign implementation).
Methods: We administered surveys to women veterans attending primary care appointments (2017, n = 1,300; 2018, n = 1,711).
